| Here is the portrait I will paint. I plan to crop the bottom half so I will lay my canvas horizontally. |
| Mapping out the facial features + adding the background color and shirt color |
| Mapping out the range of colors for her skin + defining the facial features |
| Adding hair color |
| Darkening the darkest darks... |
| Attempting to blend the darks... looks very muddy! Started to define the features of the shirt as well. |
| Adding in more color to the hair. |
| Smoothing out the skin. |
| Re-darking the darks. Adding more detail and shading to shirt. |
| Warming up and blending the skin colors together. I will have to go back and add more darks because she 's starting to look washed out. I also reshaped the lips which I plan to add more detail to when the paint is more dry. I am starting to like the shading around her neck, but need to add more of that to the right side of her face and under the eyes. |
